Kato Pyrgos Tillirias Dam Overflows: "Special Satisfaction"

The Kato Pyrgos Tillirias dam has overflowed, with the president of the community complex and community leader of K. Pyrgos Tillirias, Nikos Kleanthous, expressing his satisfaction.

As Mr. Kleanthous stated, the overflow comes after the completion of the dam's cleaning works, during which 90,000 cubic meters of alluvial materials were removed, thus increasing its capacity.

Mr. Kleanthous thanked the government, the President of the Republic, and the Ministry of Agriculture for responding to the request to clean the dam, as well as the EOA Nicosia for the successful completion of the project.

The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed the overflow via a post on social media, emphasizing that this image proves the importance of planning, cooperation, and political will. In addition, it announced the strengthening of irrigation projects with €1.15 million for 2025.
