The Ministry of Transport announced that 100% of the damage to vehicles and machinery caused by the fire in the mountainous Limassol District will be covered. The financial assistance concerns private and commercial vehicles that are not insured against catastrophic events.

For vehicles with a valid registration, third-party insurance, and MOT, or legally immobilized, 100% of the estimated damage will be provided. For insured vehicles, the insurance deductible will be covered, with a maximum limit of €1,000 for private vehicles and €1,500 for commercial vehicles.

Similar assistance will be given for machinery and equipment. The Department of Electromechanical Services, in cooperation with the Limassol District Administration, is conducting an inventory and assessment of the damages. The deadline for submitting damage claims is August 17, 2025. Applications are submitted through the Limassol District Administration.

The contact person at the District Administration is Senior Civil Engineer Grigoris Grigoriou ([email protected]).
