Contract Signed for Larnaca Urban Mobility Projects

A contract was signed at the Department of Public Works for priority projects of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) of Larnaca, costing over €20 million. The project concerns the implementation of bus lanes and bicycle paths.

The contract was signed by the Director of the Department of Public Works, Eleftherios Eleftheriou, and Mohammed Rokaya on behalf of Araco Construction Cy Ltd.

The project aims to promote public transport, develop multimodality, and enhance road safety. It includes road reconstruction, creation of bus and bicycle lanes, as well as construction of sidewalks and signalized pedestrian crossings.

The works will begin in September 2025 and are expected to be completed in January 2027. The project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan and national resources.
