Ministry of Interior on Alert – Recommendations for Citizens

The Ministry of Interior remains on full alert, monitoring developments within the framework of the “Estia” Plan in coordination with the competent services.

Civil Defense teams are in the Akrotiri Municipal Department to inform and assist residents, including transportation to temporary shelters. Patrols are being conducted to provide assistance.

In case of need, sirens will sound in the affected areas, and announcements will be made. Shelters can be located via the “SafeCY” application or by calling 22 403 451 and 22 403 452.

If there is no nearby shelter, citizens are advised to stay in a safe place inside their home or business, such as underground parking areas or rooms with solid walls.
