Ministry of Education: Curriculum Content Reduction

The Ministry of Education has proceeded with the publication of the updated Curricula for all subjects in Secondary General Education.

The aim is to reduce the content to the basic and necessary, in order to cultivate skills, promote critical thinking and creativity of students.

Changes to the assessment system promote alternative forms of assessment, beyond final exams, to assess skills from preschool age.

Working groups consisting of teachers, inspectors, academics and representatives of educational organizations worked to update the programs.

The project continues through the Recovery and Resilience Fund, with emphasis on digital skills and linking to the labor market.
