Cabinet Approves Land Expropriation for Polis Chrysochous Hospital

The Council of Ministers has approved the expropriation of land for the construction of the Polis Chrysochous Hospital. The decision was announced by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, at the beginning of the Council of Ministers meeting at the Presidential Palace.

President Christodoulides emphasized the importance of adhering to the timelines for the project's implementation.

Furthermore, the President announced that the bill for the establishment of the National Cancer Institute is ready, fulfilling a pre-election pledge and a standing request from OSAC. The Institute will coordinate prevention, diagnosis, and treatment actions for cancer, as well as promote cancer research in Cyprus.
