High Temperatures and Orange Warning in Cyprus

High temperatures persist, with the mercury reaching 44 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning valid from midnight until 17:00 on Saturday.

Weather Forecast: Seasonal low pressure and a warm air mass are affecting the region. The weather will be mainly clear. Winds will initially be light, 3 Beaufort, later becoming moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough.

The temperature will reach 44 degrees Celsius inland, around 36 on the coasts, and around 34 degrees in the higher mountains. Tonight, the weather will be mainly clear with possible fog in the early morning hours. The temperature will drop to 28 degrees inland, around 25 on the coasts, and 24 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday the weather will be mainly clear. The temperature on Sunday is not expected to change significantly, while on Monday and Tuesday a gradual decrease is expected.
