President Christodoulides Faces Setbacks: Repeated Rejections for Cabinet Appointments

President Christodoulides is facing difficulties in reshuffling his cabinet, receiving repeated rejections from potential candidates.
The President's meetings with his Ministers regarding the progress of projects are considered crucial in light of plans to refresh the government, a process proving to be complex. The scheduled summer session of the Council of Ministers in Troodos on September 6th, once considered the last with the current composition, is no longer a certainty.
According to Cyprus Times, President Christodoulides has been seeking new ministers for some time, but most are unwilling to participate in a government that lacks approval, especially after the deadly fire in mountainous Lemesos.
Furthermore, the President's efforts to find candidates from Democratic Rally (DISY) have been unsuccessful. This situation increases the pressure on Nikos Christodoulides, who realizes that maintaining the existing cabinet would be counterproductive due to social reaction and dysfunctions in important matters.
