Arguments Heard in Varoshiotou Case at Supreme Constitutional Court

The Supreme Constitutional Court Council has reserved its decision on Doria Varoshiotou's request to refer a preliminary matter to the Court of Justice of the European Union. The matter concerns the termination of her appointment as a judge by the Supreme Judicial Council.

The two opposing sides presented their arguments before the Supreme Constitutional Court, convened as the Supreme Constitutional Judicial Council. The President of the Court, Antonis Liatsos, stated that the decision would be issued as soon as possible.
