Farmers Open Tolls in Afidnes and Tragana – Protests Continue

Farmers staged symbolic protests on Sunday, opening the tolls in Afidnes and Tragana. Farmers from Evia and Thiva arrived at the Afidnes tolls, opening the barriers and blocking two lanes of traffic. They also distributed leaflets to drivers.
On Sunday afternoon, farmers from Atalanti carried out a similar action at the Tragana tolls, at the 125th kilometer of the Athens-Lamia national road. The farmers gathered and allowed vehicles to pass freely for two hours.
In contrast, in Oraiokastro, the farmers did not proceed with opening the tolls due to warnings of possible prosecutorial intervention and financial consequences. However, they proceeded to distribute products.
The farmers left the Tragana tolls shortly after 8 p.m., stating that they are planning other mobilizations in the future.
