AKEL Demands Resignations of Justice and Agriculture Ministers Over Fire

AKEL has launched new criticisms against the government regarding its handling of the deadly fire in Malia, Limassol. In a statement, AKEL is demanding the resignation of the Ministers of Justice and Agriculture, holding them responsible for the crisis management.

AKEL emphasizes that the government has not taken responsibility for the destruction and loss of life. It also states that the Minister of Justice's statements were unfortunate and show a lack of integrity.

The party announced that it will hold a joint session of the parliamentary committees on Interior, Agriculture and Environment to discuss the responsibilities and issues that arise. An AKEL delegation will visit the affected areas on July 30.
