Akinci Accuses Turkey of Interference in 'Elections'

Mustafa Akinci has referred to Turkey's interference in the 'elections', with emphasis on 2020, in his recent post. He also expressed indirect disagreement with the support of Tufan Erhurman by CTP in the first round.
Mr. Akinci stressed the need to end the term of the 'person who wasted the 5 years of his term' and wished Mr. Erhurman good luck.
He noted that there is a section of the population that desires peace and a solution in Cyprus, but is concerned about demographic changes and Ankara's influence.
Ersin Tatar described Mustafa Akinci's posts as 'inappropriate' and argued that he is showing an attitude that has no place in the political culture.
Tufan Erhurman met with the three 'MPs' who announced their support for him.
The former president of CTP, Mehmet Cakici, disagreed with the support for Tufan Erhurman from the first round, arguing that the party should have nominated its own candidate.
