Teacher Evaluation: Agreement Close, Says OLTEK President

The President of OLTEK, Panagiotis Lysandrou, stated that they are very close to an agreement on the teacher evaluation system, provided they receive written assurances from the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, regarding changes to the legislation.

According to Mr. Lysandrou, OLTEK has requested written assurances from the Minister regarding the changes that will be made. He mentioned that they will have the Minister's written positions at the next meeting.

The Minister of Education did not set a date for a new meeting with OLTEK, but Mr. Lysandrou expressed his belief that it will take place soon.

It remains to be seen if things are really as we expect, he concluded.
