Alma: Delays in acquiring a public warning system

The Alma-Citizens for Cyprus movement accuses the government of delays in acquiring a public warning system for citizens in case of danger. In a statement, Alma states that Cyprus should have installed a Public Warning System (PWS) since June 2022.

Alma points out that after the cancellation of the first tender in May 2024, the government took seven months to announce a new tender and five months to evaluate the offers. "Citizens deserve to live in an honest, robust and effective state," the statement emphasizes.
