Presidential Referral of Laws Regarding Parental Notification of Child Absence

The President of the Republic has referred back the Laws regarding parental notification in cases of child absence from kindergartens and nurseries.

According to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare, the referral concerns the practical implementation of the regulation, which is deemed unfeasible in schools.

The government agrees with the obligation to immediately inform parents of preschool children's absence.

The regulation for notifying parents within one hour is necessary, but the responsible Ministries are developing feasible solutions in view of the new school year 2025-2026.

The measures will be monitored regularly to ensure their proper implementation.
