Turmoil in PASOK over Expansion: Reactions and Warnings
Share on:

The expansion process of PASOK has sparked reactions within the party, following the departure of Vangelis Korakakis and objections to the selection of Theodosis Pelegrinis. Anna Diamantopoulou warned of potentially adverse results, while party members express concerns about the party's course ahead of the elections.

Vangelis Korakakis denied his participation in the expansion team, declaring his commitment to the KKE (Communist Party of Greece). Simultaneously, the selection of Theodosis Pelegrinis, former Deputy Minister of Education under Alexis Tsipras' government, triggered reactions due to his stance against the Diamantopoulou law on Education.

PASOK members emphasize the need for solid steps and a convincing alternative governance proposal, while Panagiotis Louskos called for resignations for the wrong choices.

Meanwhile, discussions are intensifying ahead of the Congress, focusing on the possibility of a post-election collaboration with New Democracy. Polls show a widening gap with New Democracy, despite PASOK remaining in second place.
