Maria Angela HolguĂn Departs Cyprus
The Personal Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, Maria Angela HolguĂn, is departing from Cyprus today, concluding her round of contacts on the island. She arrived late last Thursday.
As she stated, she will convey to the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, the picture she formed from her contacts, ahead of his meeting with President Christodoulidis and Tatar in New York at the end of the month.
Ms. HolguĂn had separate meetings with the President of the Republic and Tatar last Friday and Monday. She stated that she will continue to work and hope for the resumption of talks on the Cyprus issue.
