Opposition Parties Support Cyprus Mission with Reservations

Opposition parties, excluding the KKE, expressed support for the deployment of Greek military forces to Cyprus, with reservations regarding involvement in war operations.
Nikos Androulakis (PASOK) emphasized the need to protect Cypriot Hellenism while preventing involvement in US-Israel-Iran conflicts. Sokratis Famellos (SYRIZA) declared his solidarity with Cyprus, confirming the dispatch of ships and aircraft.
The KKE disagreed, citing an escalation of Greece's participation in war operations and the protection of foreign interests. Kyriakos Velopoulos (Hellenic Solution) initially expressed concern but ultimately agreed with the mission, arguing that it should have been done earlier.
New Left presented disagreements, with Sia Anagnostopoulou emphasizing the need to protect Greek Cypriots, while Gavriil Sakellaridis expressed concerns about involvement in a war. The Niki party, through Dimitris Natsiou, underscored the long-standing priority of supporting the Republic of Cyprus.
