Yiannaki Case: A Popular Demand for Acquittal?

Questions arise regarding the prosecution of the former Commissioner of Volunteerism, Mr. Yiannakis Yiannakis, and the failure to suspend his criminal prosecution. The case concerns the alteration of his high school diploma grade.
Initially, six charges were filed, which became nine based on the Police's calculations. Subsequently, one charge was dropped, and last Wednesday, the Legal Service dropped another five, leaving three charges pending.
The five withdrawn charges concerned the preparation of a forged document and the circulation of a forged letter of recommendation. The three remaining charges concern the circulation of forged official documents knowingly and fraudulently.
Reference is also made to the Parliament session regarding the recent fire and the untruths that were heard, as well as the attempt to blame Chief Fire Officer Nikos Longinos for all the weaknesses identified in the fire suppression effort.
