AKEL Responds to Questioning of Avxentiou's Sacrifice

AKEL has responded to claims questioning the sacrifice of Grigoris Avxentiou, emphasizing that he is an "insurmountable symbol of self-sacrifice and heroism" in the anti-colonial struggle.

The party cited the intervention of historical researcher Michalis Michael, who stressed that Avxentiou's greatness lies in the fact that he remained in the battle until the end.

AKEL also reminded that the party's newspaper was the only one that refused to publish the British colonial authorities' proclamation for Grigoris Avxentiou.
