Varoshiotou's request to recuse judges rejected

The Supreme Constitutional Court rejected judge Doria Varoshiotou's request to recuse three judges from the examination process of her objection regarding the termination of her appointment as a district judge.

The decision to reject the request concerning Antonis Liatsos, Tevkros Oikonomou, and Nikolas Santis was unanimous. Doria Varoshiotou had raised an issue of objective impartiality.

The Supreme Court stated that "We do not find a valid reason to recuse members of the Supreme Constitutional Court".
