Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis revealed a personal moment from 2015 during his eulogy for Eleni Glykatzi - Arveler. At the funeral service, which took place on Friday (20/2) at the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Prime Minister referred to a handwritten note given to him by the distinguished Byzantinologist when he decided to run for the leadership of New Democracy.

"These were thoughts written by hand in polytonic script in 2015, when she encouraged me to seek the leadership of ND," the Prime Minister said.

In the note, as he conveyed, the following words were included: "When the rich go bankrupt, the poor will not get rich. But when the incompetent govern, the capable are guilty. And when only the unworthy speak of values, then devaluation will be general."

Kyriakos Mitsotakis concluded his farewell with the phrase "Farewell, my beloved Eleni," honoring the memory of Eleni Glykatzi - Arveler.
