Archbishop: Reframe Cyprus issue as an invasion and occupation problem

Archbishop Georgios called for reframing the Cyprus issue as a problem of invasion and occupation at an event for national anniversaries held at the Archbishopric.

The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athina Michaelidou, representing the President of the Republic, stressed the importance of unity in addressing the Turkish occupation. The Ambassador of Greece, Konstantinos Kollias, emphasized that the lifting of the occupation and the reunification of Cyprus are the primary national goal.

The General Director of the Foundation, Christos Koukliotis, referred to the will of Hellenism and the Cypriot people for freedom, while Ambassador Periklis Nearchou was a speaker at the event.
