Archbishop of Crete: Displeasure over transfer issue

The Archbishop of Crete, Evgenios, has expressed his displeasure with the government's response regarding the retention of the abolition of transfers, a few days after meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In a statement on the sidelines of an event for the blessing of a Coast Guard vessel, Mr. Evgenios stated that the Church respects institutions and will inform the hierarchs at a synodal meeting.

"The answer we received regarding the transfer issue upsets us. This dialogue could have gone better," he noted, according to cretalive.gr.
