Dendias and Mitsotakis at the unveiling of the Ministry of Defense's new facade

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias attended the unveiling ceremony of the new bioclimatic facade of the Ministry of National Defense's central building.

The event took place on Mesogeion Avenue, where the renovated building is expected to become a landmark. The south facade of the building, over 340 meters long, was covered with 730 vertical rows of aluminum louvers, each 30.5 meters high.

The project was combined with the "Ark of National Memory" by Mr. Varotsos and the addition of two olive groves, symbolizing the national anniversaries of March 25, 1821, and October 28, 1940.

In the surrounding area of Camp A. Papagou, new green spaces were created with the installation of hundreds of trees.

The Prime Minister's presence, despite his illness with coronavirus, signals a desire to de-escalate relations with Nikos Dendias.
