Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Chatzidakis announced that interventions totaling ā¬1.5 billion will be presented at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) 2025, aimed at improving the income of the middle class, with an emphasis on families.
The interventions will focus on reducing direct taxes, so that the benefit is transferred directly to citizens. Mr. Chatzidakis also referred to the PASOK proposal to restore the 13th salary, noting that increases have already been given to civil servants equivalent to 1.3 salaries.
Regarding OPEKEPE, he stated that the list of beneficiaries of high subsidies who will be asked to return unduly paid amounts will be published. Finally, he commented that the possible return of Alexis Tsipras does not affect New Democracy.
