DISY vs AKEL over Graffiti Directive: "Exposes the Country"

A heated exchange has erupted between DISY and AKEL following the issuance of a directive regarding the removal of graffiti from walls in Cyprus.

DISY accuses AKEL of avoiding substantive answers to the questions posed, resorting instead to slogans and condemnations. "It is now clear that AKEL avoids giving clear answers because for decades it has been pursuing foreign policy with ideological blinders, far from the realities and national interests of Cyprus," a DISY statement said.

DISY maintains that AKEL's adherence to extreme positions "exposes the country and undermines the effort to maintain the Republic of Cyprus' role as a credible and responsible force in the region and in Europe."

DISY concludes by saying that it will continue to serve "with sobriety the credibility of Cyprus and the interest of our people."
