DISY: Radical Measures Needed for Housing Crisis

DISY is calling for radical measures to address the housing crisis, as stated by Press Spokesperson Mr. Onoufrios Koullas. The party emphasizes that the crisis cannot be resolved with half-measures, as rents continue to rise, affecting students, families, and young couples.

Pindarou suggests, among other things, supporting KOAG for more housing, accelerating urban planning permits, granting rights to build houses in the countryside, accelerating student dormitories, unlocking enclosed plots, and incentives for young couples to buy and renovate old houses.

Additionally, it considers it necessary to adjust housing grants and income criteria based on the inflation of recent years. Mr. Koullas concluded that housing for young people must become affordable again for everyone.
