Doukas: No to 'cover-up', let's discuss PASOK's stagnation in polls

The Mayor of Athens, Haris Doukas, calls for a change in PASOK's strategy and an open discussion about the reasons for the party's stagnation in opinion polls.
In a statement, Mr. Doukas stressed the need for a dialogue congress, where all critical issues will be put on the table, instead of being 'covered up'. He recalled the proposals he submitted to the Political Secretariat to reverse the political scene in the next elections.
Haris Doukas reiterated that PASOK's goal should be first place and proposed a resolution at the congress excluding a coalition government with New Democracy. In addition, he stressed the need for programmatic dialogue with other center-left forces to form a progressive government led by PASOK, as well as ensuring internal party democracy.
Finally, he referred to his proposal for the integration of MPs into PASOK, on the condition that they resign from their seats.
