Drousiotis Sets Conditions for Police Testimony, Requests Independent Investigator

Makarios Drousiotis has announced his intentions to testify to the police, setting conditions and expressing concerns about the process.

According to his post, a police officer contacted him requesting immediate information. Drousiotis stated he would only testify in the presence of his lawyer.

Drousiotis referred to previous incidents, such as the 2012 traffic accident in Limassol where, he claims, statements were altered, and the 2020 report of telecommunications data breach.

Through his lawyer, he requested that the President of the Republic appoint an independent criminal investigator, with the approval of the President of the Supreme Constitutional Court.

He assured that he would submit all information to the police as soon as possible, in the presence of his lawyer, due to lack of confidence in the police and the Legal Service.
