EDEK Leaves Door Open for Apostolou: 'He Was Never Expelled'

EDEK is leaving the door open for Andreas Apostolou, as stated by the party's President, Nikos Anastasiou, after a meeting of the Political Bureau in Limassol. According to Mr. Anastasiou, EDEK is calling on all executives and supporters to support the party in these 'historically difficult times'.
Mr. Anastasiou expressed hope that rumors of an agreement between Mr. Apostolou and another political party would be disproven and that he would return to EDEK. When asked about the possibility of Andreas Apostolou's return, Mr. Anastasiou replied that Mr. Apostolou is a member of the party's bodies and 'was never expelled from any space'.
Regarding Mr. Apostolou's absence from the meeting, the President of EDEK commented that it sends a message. When asked if he would seek communication with Mr. Apostolou, Nikos Anastasiou responded positively, emphasizing that Mr. Apostolou remains a member of the collective bodies and has the right to decide within the party. When asked about the possibility of requesting the parliamentary seat from Andreas Apostolou, Mr. Anastasiou replied that this would be seen in the future.
