Attari's appeal for the protection of Palestinian prisoners

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Cyprus, Abdalla Attari, has appealed to the Government, the House of Representatives, political parties and trade unions for immediate action regarding the protection of Palestinian prisoners.

The appeal comes after the intrusion of the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, into the cell of Palestinian leader and MP Marwan Barghouti. Mr. Ben-Gvir threatened Barghouti, who has been in isolation for 23 years, with physical extermination.

Mr. Attari stated that Marwan Barghouti is being systematically tortured by the Israeli occupation authorities.
