Call for Foreign Investigator in "Santi" Case

An appeal has been made to President Christodoulides to appoint an independent foreign investigator in the case concerning the "Santi" messages, with the aim of restoring public trust in institutions.

The issue has caused intense discussion and suspicion in society, leading to questions about the credibility of the state and its institutions. The selection of individuals to investigate the case is considered crucial for sending a clear message to citizens.

The proposal for a foreign investigator stems from the need to distance from local networks and balances that erode trust. At the same time, the importance of selecting two more investigators with proven integrity, who have successfully handled difficult cases in the past, is emphasized.

The case of Thanasis Nikolaou is mentioned as an example, where the State was forced to bring in an investigator from Greece to address suspicion. The need for credibility is considered even greater today.

It is emphasized that society will not forgive another cover-up and that the selection of an independent foreign criminal investigator is the only measure that can restore confidence in institutions.
