A parliamentary seat may shift from Nicosia to Paphos in the upcoming elections due to changes in the electoral registers. The Parliament's decision not to immediately implement automatic registration and voting at 17 in the parliamentary elections, but in the presidential elections, maintains the population imbalances.

According to current data, Paphos gains a seat from Nicosia. The number of seats per district will be finalized on October 2nd. If the scenario is confirmed, Nicosia will have 19 seats instead of 20, while Paphos will have 5 instead of 4.

The additional seat in Paphos could go to ELAM or Alma, or another party. In Nicosia, the reduction in seats will affect the distribution of seats among the parties.

To register on the electoral roll, Cypriot citizenship, completion of the 18th year of age, and permanent residence in Cyprus for the last six months are required.
