Tension in Parliament: Konstantopoulou-Markopoulos Clash

A heated exchange took place in the Hellenic Parliament between Zoe Konstantopoulou and Dimitris Markopoulos during a debate on a request to lift the immunity of the New Democracy MP, following a lawsuit filed by Stefanos Kasselakis.

Konstantopoulou criticized Markopoulos for his involvement in incidents at the Nikaia hospital, where he accompanied Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis. "What role were you playing there? Why were you pointing out employees as informants?" the President of Plefsis Eleftherias questioned.

In response, Markopoulos characterized Konstantopoulou as a representative of "political hooliganism." "You are a political hooligan," he stated, adding that her behavior resembles the "Rouvikonas-ization of parliament."

The clash occurred during the examination of a request to lift Markopoulos' immunity, following a lawsuit by Stefanos Kasselakis.
