Austrian Chancellor, Christian Stocker, Visits Cyprus

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will receive the Austrian Chancellor, Christian Stocker, on an official visit to Cyprus on August 21 and 22.

Mr. Stocker will arrive on August 21 and will attend a private dinner hosted by President Christodoulides. The following day, a meeting will take place at the Presidential Palace, followed by extended talks between the Cypriot and Austrian delegations.

After the talks, President Christodoulides and Mr. Stocker will make statements to the media and tour along the ceasefire line in Nicosia. The Chancellor will also visit the House of Representatives.

During the talks, bilateral relations, European agenda issues, the priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the EU Council in 2026, developments in the Cyprus issue, the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East, and other international issues are expected to be discussed.

Special emphasis will be placed on deepening cooperation in areas such as green and sustainable energy, competitiveness, innovation, vocational education, tourism, and culture. The agenda also includes immigration.
