Constructive discussion between President and Stewart ahead of multilateral conference

The President of the Republic had a constructive discussion with Mr. Stewart, ahead of the upcoming multilateral conference.

According to the Government Spokesperson, the meeting took place before Mr. Stewart travels to the United Nations, where he will brief the UN Security Council on reports regarding good services and the peacekeeping force.

Mr. Stewart briefed the President on his meeting with the EU Special Envoy for the Cyprus issue, Mr. Johannes Hahn.

The President reiterated the importance of achieving progress on the six thematic areas agreed upon at the previous multilateral conference in Geneva, ahead of the July multilateral meeting.
