Ertuğruloğlu Criticizes Trilateral Meeting and Erhürman

Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu criticized the trilateral meeting and the statements of Tufan Erhürman, questioning its usefulness. According to reports in the occupied territories, Ertuğruloğlu questioned the purpose of the meeting and criticized Erhürman's characterization of it as 'useful'.
Ertuğruloğlu argued that as long as Greek Cypriots maintain the status of the Republic of Cyprus, negotiations will not lead to a solution. He also stated that the discussion on federation and rotating presidency implies a unified state.
Furthermore, Ertuğruloğlu criticized Erhürman's approach, arguing that it is similar to those of Mehmet Ali Talat and Mustafa Akıncı. He also referred to the President of the RTP, Sıla Usar İncirli, regarding her positions on the federation.
Ertuğruloğlu concluded by questioning the possibility of complying with EU criteria and selling such a solution to Turkish Cypriots.
