Erhürman: No Cyprus Negotiations Took Place in 5 Years

The leader of the Turkish Republican Party (CTP), Tufan Erhürman, stated that no negotiations on the Cyprus issue have taken place in the last five years. At an event organized by the party, Erhürman mentioned that there were no discussions for four years, while the discussions in Geneva and New York were merely a pretext.
Erhürman also criticized Ersin Tatar for not defending the right to citizenship for children from mixed marriages. Furthermore, he mentioned that problems arose in trade through the Green Line Regulation, without any discussion about them.
Referring to the upcoming "presidential elections", Erhürman emphasized the importance of a bi-communal, bi-zonal federal solution with two equal constituent states and political equality.
