Evgenios Hamboullas, a candidate with ELAM, spoke to Cyprus Times about his candidacy, the election campaign, and the problems of Limassol.

He states that the differentiation of the political map is already a fact, due to the inability of traditional parties. Mr. Hamboullas develops his positions on immigration, housing, and other problems faced by the citizens of Limassol.

Election Campaign: Citizens are ready to listen to the candidates, understanding the importance of the upcoming elections. The response from Limassol voters is warm, due to his previous term on the Municipal Council.

Priorities of citizens: Citizens are looking for the truth and are more mature. Priorities concern the economy, security, and the future of their children.

ELAM's positions: Mr. Hamboullas states that he has no disagreement with ELAM's ideological approaches, which find supporters in the broader center-right.

Immigration: The laxity in dealing with illegal immigration has created security problems. It is necessary to separate illegal immigrants from legal immigrants.

Housing: The housing problem in Limassol has turned into social pressure. The state is responsible for the lack of housing policy.

Limassol: Limassol is changing rapidly, but many residents feel that development does not include them. Modernization of the local plan is required.
