Famelos Requests Inquiry Committee for ELTA Collapse

SYRIZA leader Sokratis Famelos has requested the establishment of an inquiry committee in Parliament to investigate the "collapse and bankruptcy" of the Hellenic Post (ELTA). He accused the government of "patronage" and "assignments" that led to the financial collapse of the company.
During the session of the Special Permanent Committee on Institutions and Transparency, Mr. Famelos denounced a "blatant scandal" on the part of New Democracy and a deliberate delay in the discussion. He also referred to the closure of 46 ELTA stores and the assignments to Mr. Patsis amounting to over 800,000 euros.
Mr. Famelos reiterated the request to revoke the decision to close stores and requested the submission of the sworn auditors' report on the deficits in ELTA.
