Fytiris Announces Justice Overhaul: Asset Confiscation and New Coast Guard

Minister of Justice, Kostas Fytiris, announced a series of actions to combat organized crime. These include the confiscation of assets, the creation of new prisons, and the establishment of an independent coast guard.

Mr. Fytiris emphasized the need to modernize the Justice system and combat corruption. Confiscation of unjustified assets is an important tool.

New Prisons: Plans are underway to build new prisons outside urban areas, with a capacity of 1,250 places, equipped with modern technologies and infrastructure.

Police and Fire Department: Strengthening the Police and Fire Department with modern equipment.

Regarding the Annie Alexui case, Mr. Fytiris stated that investigations are being conducted, but official complaints and documents are required.
