Fytiris to Loizidis: "I would be happy to see him go to the front line"

The Minister of Justice, Mr. Fytiris, responded to questions regarding remarks made by Nikos Loizidis, president of the Equality union, about alleged threats he received.

Mr. Fytiris stated: "I don't want to lower the level! I think this is a very serious conference. Too much noise causes disturbance, and disturbance often causes disruption."

He then added: "I would be very happy to learn from the Chief of Police that Mr. Loizidis submits a request to go to a front-line unit and leave where he is, at Headquarters."
