France, Germany, and Britain Reinforce Cyprus' Defense

Following Greece, France and Germany are sending warships to Cyprus, while Britain is sending a destroyer and helicopters to protect its base in Akrotiri.
Athens' decision to provide defensive assistance to Nicosia triggered European reflexes. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis responded to the request of the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, after an aerial attack on the British base.
France will send a frigate and anti-aircraft systems. Britain announced the dispatch of helicopters with anti-drone capabilities and a destroyer, following a telephone conversation between Starmer and Nikos Christodoulides.
British media commented on London's stance, stating that "the French and Greeks are defending our military base in Akrotiri, Cyprus."
