German Foreign Minister: "We will be present if Cyprus needs us"

The German Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul, assured that Germany will be present if Cyprus needs assistance. The statement was made after a meeting in Nicosia with the Cypriot Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, on Tuesday.

Mr. Kombos emphasized that Europe must play an active role in de-escalation through diplomacy, adding that Cyprus is part of the solution and not part of the problem.
