GRECO: Significant Progress in Combating Corruption in Cyprus

Significant steps have been taken in combating corruption in the central Government and the Police in Cyprus, according to the GRECO compliance report presented to the parliamentary Committee on Institutions.
Members of Parliament expressed satisfaction with the progress, while emphasizing that there is still room for improvement. The evaluation report included 22 recommendations, 13 of which concerned the central government and 9 the Police. Six of the recommendations have been fully implemented, 13 partially, and three are expected to be implemented by December 31, 2026.
