K. Efstathiou Elected Chairman of PACE Committee

MP Kostis Efstathiou was unanimously elected Chairman of the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Immunities and Institutional Affairs of the PACE. According to a Parliament announcement, this is the third time a member of the House of Representatives has held this position since Cyprus joined the Organization in 1961.

As Chairman, Mr. Efstathiou will be a member of the Assembly's Bureau, contributing to its strategic direction and operation. Mr. Efstathiou pledged to work to promote the principles of the PACE, ensuring its smooth operation, transparency and equality.

The election of Mr. Efstathiou strengthens the presence of the House of Representatives in the international arena and in the dialogue on human rights and democracy.
