Karousos Complaint: Actions of Former Ministers Removed – GTP Denies Allegations

DISY Vice President, Yannis Karousos, has complained about the removal of actions of former ministers from government websites. In a letter to the relevant ministry and the Press and Information Office (GTP), Mr. Karousos claimed that all references to actions and announcements of ministers from previous governments have been removed, citing selective deletions from ministry websites.
In response, the Director of the GTP, Aliki Stylianou, assured that nothing has been deleted and that all press releases from 1962 onwards are electronically archived on the website www.piopressreleases.com.cy. She also reminded that the GTP website has been transferred to Gov.cy since April 2025.
Specifically, the GTP website presents older press releases issued by the GTP from May 2019 to date, while the remaining material is located in the GTP Press Release archive, which hosts all official press releases from January 1, 1962. Ms. Stylianou emphasized that no deletion has been made and that this practice was implemented for capacity reasons.
