Katsounotos Responds to Triantafyllides' Accusations Regarding Justice

Assistant Chief of Police, Michalis Katsounotos, responded through his legal representative to the accusations made by Chris Triantafyllides, who represents Ms. Aristotelous and Ms. Dimitriou. The accusations concerned the criminal prosecution of the two women in the case of the Central Prisons documents.
Mr. Triantafyllides had stated that the prosecution began after a complaint by the then Director General of the Prisons, Anna Aristotelous, against Mr. Katsounotos. Mr. Katsounotos' lawyer, Modestos Poyiatzis, rejected the accusations, emphasizing that Justice is not blackmailed.
In his statement, Mr. Poyiatzis stated that attempts to create a "dramatic narrative" cannot replace the facts. He also stressed that Mr. Katsounotos has fully cooperated with the competent authorities and has nothing to fear.
Mr. Poyiatzis concluded that cases are resolved in the courts and not through public statements.
