OELMEK-Ministry of Education Clash Over School Principals Meeting

A heated dispute has erupted between OELMEK and the Ministry of Education, following OELMEK's decision to prohibit secondary general education school principals from attending a scheduled briefing on the new school year.

The Ministry of Education expressed its regret, emphasizing that OELMEK underestimates the role of principals and misinforms, using procedural requests as an excuse. The Ministry stresses that dialogue is the appropriate way to resolve issues and calls on OELMEK to adopt a more responsible stance, especially on issues related to educational reform.

The Ministry extended a public invitation to OELMEK to resolve the serious issues facing the education system, avoiding tactics and petty politics.
